This is in memory of my beloved Dad David who passed away recently with a bad heart. I miss him dearly and think of him every day.
I don't believe in heaven though I do believe that Dad is in a better place now and free from stress and suffering. At his funeral it was said that his time had come as someone "up there" decided they needed Dad more than us. Whoever that person is I hope they are looking after Dad and giving him the love and respect he deserves.
He was the best Dad in the world and taught me how to be the best person I could be. I think of all the happy and funny times we shared which brings me great comfort. One day we will meet again.

Dad's first holiday abroad
I still laugh to myself and smile whenever I think of our first trip together abroad in 2003. We took a weeks trip to Vienna. At the airport Dad was in heaven (he loved planes and anything to do with them) with his eyes out on stalks and I've never seem him so happy.
I'm so pleased he got to experience the joys of travelling overseas and seeing the wonders of life outside the UK.
